The Inlet Inn is located in the heart
of the Beaufort NC Historic District. From this
central location you can easily walk to all the local

from the Inn is where all the tour companies are
located. Simply walk across the street and you can
take a ferry to Shackleford Banks, go on a Dolphin Watch,
board a large catamaran and sail the Cape Lookout
Lighthouse, take an after dark stroll through the Historic
District with the Beaufort Ghost Walk, go Parasailing, go
Fishing, or just take a relaxing Harbor Tour. Do
yourself a favor and spend your time in Beaufort NC at the

Getting
to Beaufort |

By
Land
Beaufort
is located approximately 3 hours Southeast from Raleigh, NC
and approximately 2 hours North of Wilmington,
NC.
To
get to Beaufort from the Northern Outer Banks, you will need
to take the 30 minute ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke
Island, and then take a 2.75 hour ferry from Ocracoke Island
to Cedar Point, NC. From Cedar Point, follow Highway
70 West for 45 minutes to Beaufort, NC.

By
Air
The
closest major airport to Beaufort is the Raleigh-Durham
Airport (RDU), which is approximately 3 hours away by car.
The New Bern, NC Airport (EWN), is serviced by US Airways
Express flights, and is only 45 minutes from Beaufort by
car.

Sea
The
Beaufort, NC Town Docks is located directly in front of the
Inlet Inn and is a superb place to dock your boat while
staying in Beaufort. Beaufort Docks monitors VHF
Channel 16 and 9. Their phone number is
252.728.2503. Reservations are recommended during the
busy Spring, Summer and Fall seasons.

From Morehead City: Take Hwy. 70E across two
bridges into Beaufort, turn right at the first traffic signal
(Turner St.). Go straight 2 blocks and take a left on Ann
St. Drive straight on Ann St. for two blocks and
take a right on Queen St. About 1/2 a block down on your
left will be
the Inlet Inn parking lot.
From "Down East" on 70 West (If
your coming down the Outer Banks from Ocracoke): Follow
Highway 70 West into Beaufort. Look for a restaurant on your
left called No Name Pizza. Just after No Name Pizza is a
stoplight. Go straight thru the stoplight at Cedar St.
(don't turn right at Hwy. 70W), go straight two blocks and then
take a right on Ann St., go 3 blocks and turn left on
Queen St. About 1/2 a block on your left will be the Inlet Inn
parking lot.
NOTE: Queen St. has recently been changed
to one way only - Drivable only from Ann St. to Front St. in a
Southerly direction.
